Introduction to racing for women #2

Join us in a fun and supportive environment to experience the joy of racing. We will guide you through the day, from arriving at the venue, registration, course familiarization, racing etiquette, chaperoned racing, and chatting afterwards to hear how it all went.

When: 7am Sunday 27 June
Where: Herne Hill Primary School
Who: All female Masters (30+) riders new to racing
Grade: E Grade unless otherwise requested - distance 43km (speed ~ 30km/hr)
Cost: FREE for trial riders (see link below)
Register: via WCMCC by 5pm Friday 25 June https://www.wcmasterscycling.asn.au/trial-rides (pls include "4F" in Description)

Race day schedule:
- 7am chaperones meet riders at registration area, safety briefing, run through basic race etiquette
- 7.15am ride one lap of course, discuss course features
- 8.00am confirm registration, collect race numbers
- 8.30am final warm up
- 8.45am assemble at start
- 9am race. Chaperone will ride at rear of bunch to warn of approaching passing bunches, and provide advice to trial riders about safety/etiquette
- Post race - debrief, Q&A, coffee

DO check the weather forecast and bring a rain jacket and change of clothes if it looks like raining. Road racing is an outdoor winter event, and sometimes it is wet!
