Massive May

How Quickly the 4Fs of Fit Fun Fast and Femme have materialized, with so many of our Femmes taking their fitness to an array of events from Enduro Downhill races to Endurance Uphill rides in Seven/Five/Three, along with squeals of pure joy as gravel was descended without the need to feather the brakes, and an array of podium places and coffees were had; stories - sad, uplifting and funny - were shared, and learning from the wisdom and generosity of others was so gratefully received.

We remain buoyed and humbled by the response we have had across all sectors.  Last weekend’s collaboration with WCMCC was an example of working together to achieve the same goal.

Has it been because the timing around Covid was just right? Or the current gender and diversity conversation in all its forms? Or the sincere and principled intent of our initiative? Or the fact that we seek only to value add, collaborate and expand our influence into what really is our point of difference, and that is - to research, learn and share the findings of how we can achieve the full potential our bodies have to offer.

We remain committed to collaborating, connecting and building a community (4C) beyond our starting point of cycling… and no there won’t be a 4C T-Shirt although there are plans for an I support 4FIVE+ T-shirt for the aspirational 45-year-olds and the people that support them.

Reflecting on the 4F happenings of Marvellous May, it has been a whirlwind, with everything so new and needing to be nurtured from our ideas and coaxed into reality - thank you to all the wonderful people of the WA Cycling Community who have helped us along the way, and our brand new members for choosing to Belong.
